Aiven Reese Amella, born on April 4, 2010 at 8:15 p.m. She weighed 7 lbs 8 oz and 19 1/2 inches long.
Steph started having mild contractions that morning. We started timing them around 10 am but they were only lasting 15 seconds coming every 20 minutes. We decided to go to Steph's parents for Easter lunch. The contractions grew stronger and a bit closer together but nothing to flee to the hospital for. At around 4:30 that evening Steph started having more painful contractions and they were lasting almost a minute and they were 7 minutes apart. We decided to call Grandma and Grandpa Rodriguez to pick up Gavin and head to the hospital. We checked in around 5:30 pm. Steph was dialated to a 5 and so the nurses started preparing "the epidural" for Steph. She was relaxed although it made her sick towards the end but she didn't need it for very long. At around 7:45 pm the nurse checked Steph and she was ready to push. Three sets of pushes and out came Aiven. She made a quick and easy entrance into our lives!
