Good-Bye Terrible 2's, Hello Horrible 3's

Well we finally are about to get through the "Terrible 2's", as of July 24th, and enter into the "Horrible 3's." Here is just an incident to prepare us for what we are in for in the near future.
Gavin decided to put Aiven's large bottle of Baby Powder down the air vent and make it snow. I heard "Wheee, Yahoo!" I ran into her room and caught him red handed, or should I say white handed, covered head to toe in Baby Powder. We can look back now and laugh but at the time I was ready to ship him to Madagascar! Although he wouldn't mind, since Madagascar 1 and 2 are his favorite kid movies. Well let's hope that he settles down now that he will be 3.

Our 6th year Anniversary! 7/17/2010

Wowsers, our 6th month Anniversary was July 17, 2010. Amazing how time flies when you are having kids, working, taking care of a household.... oh yeah and having fun! We played golf at the Broadmoor Country Club, where Gary proposed to me on whole #14. It was nice to re-enact the moment again at such an amazing golf course. The course kicked our butts, especially the greens. I must give Gary credit he did win this round! We were neck to neck and tied on the front 9, but he came around and beat me on the back 9. After a great round of golf, we headed to our favorite restaurant, The Melting Pot. Oh how I love the cheese fondue and the dessert! Another great year has gone by and we look forward to many more to come!

4th of July and Ear Piercing

Aiven is 3 months old on the 4th of July. This 4th we played some golf (I beat Gary by the way),had a BBQ and headed to the Pueblo Riverwalk for a 15 minute Firework display! It really wasn't as impressive as the years past. Gavin isn't to thrilled with fireworks, as he acts like they are blowing up his eardrums. He kept his ears plugged with his fingers until the show was over, luckily it wasn't very long!
On July 5th, Aiven got her ears pierced, as you can see from the picture. Gary didn't want to have any part of it, so he hung out in the food court with Gavin while Grandma Geri and I took her. Aiven was so happy and cooing and cawing with the girl who was about to pierce her ears. She did the first ear and Aiven let out a loud scream. I picked her up to console her and she was back to smiling and cooing and cawing. Then the second ear she cried for a little bit longer but it wasn't as bad as when she had her 2 month immunizations. She is tough like her Momma!
