End of Summer, Back to work!

Well Summer Vacation is now officially over! We had quite a busy and eventful summer break. I am very sad that I have to return to work and leave my babies. They will be in good hands with my parents, but it will be hard not seeing them all day. Hoefully soon we will hit the Powerball and not have to work but till then it's off to 1st Grade!

Cereal Time

Aiven's doctor has given us the OK, to start feeding her cereal and introducing her to a vegetable a week. As you can see from the picture she loves the first bite..... but she may just be fooling us and posing for the camera.

Yep, just posing...She doesn't really seem to care for cereal and enjoys spitting it out. Hopefully she will enjoy her first vegetable.... Green Beans!

Aiven is 4 Months old!

Aiven is 4 months old and we had her 4 month check-up today! She is weighing in at 14 lbs. which is the 50%, 24 1/4 inches, 50% and 75% head size. She is at a 6 month old developmental stage. This little girl is such a good baby! I know Gavin was super good at this age but Aiven has him beat. We are very blessed to have such good little kiddos! Aiven is starting to roll over and hold her own bottle. We can start her on Rice Cereal now and veggies. Hopefully she will be like her big brother and just love vegetables and fruit. The other day he even ate a flower. Those darn kid movies, he loves Ice Age, Dawn of the Dinosaurs, and one of the characters eats flowers. Well, Gavin thinks it's Ok and so he tried out a Dandelion from the backyard! He said it was "Yummy." He is hilarious.

Our little Gavin is developing into quite the Tiger Woods, golf that is! He hits a bucket of flight restricted golf balls every morning in the backyard and every evening. Poor little guy is forming blisters on his hands. We need to find him his own golf glove. He just loves golf and that is all he wants to do. When he is in the house, he putts on the carpet and even makes his own putting course with buckets and cups. Check out his video below!

Happy 3rd Birthday Gavin!

The theme this year for Gavin's 3rd Birthday was "Golf." The tables were decorated with little golf flags and putting greens. I made golf ball cookies, golf cupcakes and a big golf ball cake for Gavin. Everyone enjoyed Meatball and Sausage sandwiches, with Papa Fred's famous marinated green chilis, Pasta salad, sausage cheese dip and Arnold Palmers. It was a great party although we expected it to rain, it turned out to be a hot, sunny evening. Gavin had a great time with all his cousins and friends. They played "Hole in One" which is just like pin the tail on donkey, search the sand bunker for golf balls, (Gavin's sand box) and golf ball toss! Gavin was really interested in opening his gifts this year. He got a brand new swing set, a battery operated mini Golf Cart, lots of Toy Story games, clothes, shoes and a variety of golf stuff! My baby boy is growing up so fast, on to another exciting year!
